People employed at a pet shop, grooming parlour, boarding kennel, cattery or any other animal care facility may study Cert III in Companion Animal Services or Cert IV in Companion Animal Services.
The Clinical Thinking Veterinary Nursing Technician provides a structured tutoring program that develops professional capabilities in a broad range of advanced technical and nursing management disciplines for those who are looking to expand their knowledge and advance their career opportunities. Practical, hands on, and dedicated to the practice environment, your new skills will reward you, your employer and your clients for many years to come.
This is a course where nurses in general practice can learn and apply the skills that will enable them to advance their career opportunities within their current role. Including topics and aspects of nursing that relate directly to your role in general practice, the course fine tunes and expands them so you may take full advantage of your Certificate IV qualification. A structured and comprehensive tutoring program.
Duration: Twelve months
This course is designed for experienced veterinary nurses wanting to advance their career in areas of HR management and client consultation. Topics include leadership and personal mastery, conducting client consultations, recruitment, selection and induction programs as well as in-house training techniques.
