The AIRC can provide training in diverse career paths such as veterinary nurse, dog trainer, pet groomer or animal attendant (for people working in pet retailing outlets, boarding kennels and catteries, welfare organizations, veterinary surgeries or animal theme parks).

Pet Groomer

Get creative with your career!  Pet grooming is a growing industry and is enjoyed by those people wanting to work with animals in a truly hands-on environment.  Pet groomers need knowledge in a variety of animal species and breeds and the appropriate grooming and clipping styles for each.

Those wishing to gain employment as a pet groomer can study Introductory Pet Grooming or Certificate III in Companion Animal Services.  Senior groomers and business owners can also study Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services.
