The Animal Industries Resource Centre/Crampton Consulting Group is proud to have on board Veterinarians and Veterinary Nurses who have excelled in the veterinary profession and are committed to passing on their wealth of experience and knowledge. Many of the staff fulfil the roles of assessors, tutors, workshop co-ordinators, career advisors, job counsellors and professional colleagues. We have staff that excel in the departments of Accounting and Administration and all our staff will help you in your quest to further your skills and knowledge.

Mark Hardwick
General Manager - CCG | CCG Consultant

Having spent the last 15 years in the training and communication field, Mark has motivated and inspired young people to achieve personal and professional goals. He has previously facilitated a national youth unemployment group called ‘Breaking The Cycle’, and has spent time concentrating on improving the communication skills with both adults and children alike. Mark has been applying these skills and supporting the veterinary industry for the past 10 years. His primary role at the Animal Industries Resource Centre is that of General Manager, however he continues to consult with, and train, veterinary nurses, veterinarians, practice managers and industry bodies.

As an Accredited DISC Trainer and CCG Consultant, Mark continues to support and guide CCG clients to achieve excellence in communication and professional practice. This process assists them in reaching their goals in the workplace – a concept Mark is committed to.

Sue Crampton
Strategic Development Trainer | Lead CCG Consultant

Sue graduated in the UK as a veterinary nurse in 1982. After working in the USA and Hong Kong as a veterinary nurse, Sue settled in Australia. Sue worked in a variety of mixed practices before forming the Australian Veterinary Nurse Resource Centre with her partner Mark Hardwick. Sue is acknowledged as a leading speaker, trainer and consultant across Australasia in the areas of communication, customer service, staff management and practice development.

Sue has a Bachelor of Business, majoring in human resources and marketing and also focuses her time on working as the HR Manager for Provet Group of Companies. 

Tania Small
International Operations Manager | CCG Consultant

Tania, who is presently based in Hong Kong, oversees the Company’s Asian portfolio. This is a job role which encompasses many areas including project management, business development, client relations and international student co-ordination. Perhaps the most coveted job role within the Company, this position has seen Tania work in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia and more recently America. Tania has worked for AIRC/CCG for the last ten years and in the animal care industry for 18 years.

Being passionate about not only the animal care industry, but also the people working in it, Tania is currently completing a Bachelor of Business majoring in human resources and organizational psychology through the University of Southern Queensland. She is also an accredited DISC consultant and qualified workplace trainer and assessor.

When not working, Tania enjoys oil painting and playing the piano.

Janine Temple
General Manager - Education & Training | CCG Consultant

Janine is an innovative professional with extensive experience in working with people and technology to deliver quality business solutions in competitive markets. Janine has gained knowledge from professional development in areas such as Business Management, Leadership, Coaching, Sales, Marketing, & Human Resources. She is passionate about motivating and inspiring people and has a consultative leadership and management style. Throughout her career Janine has demonstrated strong leadership and organisational abilities. She has a proven ability to develop and implement new business opportunities that improve operating procedures, budget outcomes and service delivery. Her passion for innovation and excellence have been enhanced by experience and formal qualifications in obtaining a Bachelor degree in Business Marketing & Human Resources.

Janine has being involved in the Veterinary industry for over 18 years. She initially spent 12 years in mixed veterinary practice, as veterinary nurse and practice manager and later moving into coaching and business development.

In her position as General Manager -Education & Training/ Consultant for CCG, Janine conducts extensive on-site practice fitness consultations, providing strategic planning and business advice for improved operations which are directed toward taking practices to the next level.

Rosie Overfield
Client Development Manager | CCG Consultant

Rosie Overfield is the AIRC/CCG Client Development Manager and a consultant with Crampton Consulting Group. Her role also includes the marketing and promotion of the company.  Rosie commenced working in the veterinary industry in 1997 after leaving a career in journalism. This combined background allowed Rosie to join CCG in 2004.  She uses her extensive knowledge of communication, customer service, marketing systems and human behaviour to help practices grow and work harmoniously together.

Rosie is in the final stages of completing a Diploma of Professional Counselling, specialising in grief and workplace counselling. She has a special interest in emotional intelligence and compassion fatigue in animal care workers. Rosie also holds qualifications in veterinary nursing, workplace training and is an Accredited DISC and WMOT consultant.  In her spare time Rosie is a keen traveller, photographer and animal activist.  She has four 'furry' children and sponsors a cheetah named Masai in South Africa. 
 

Erin Croker
Consulting and Events Supervisor

Erin has been working at the Animal Industries Resource Centre / Crampton Consulting since 2005. In her current, and very diverse role as Events and Consulting Supervisor, Erin oversees the events department and ensures the smooth running of all events, including the annual workshop series. She also works closely with the consulting team, liaising with clients to coordinate in-practice training and consulting, and provides administrative support to both the consulting and management teams. Erin has been working in administration since 2001, and has a Certificate III in Education (Office Support). She has also achieved her DISC Accreditation.

When she’s not at work, Erin enjoys spending time with her loved ones including her Border Collie, Riley.

Natalie Zofek
Workshops and Events Coordinator

As one of AIRC’s Customer Service Officers and assistant to the Events Coordinator, Natalie brings to the company a wealth of administrative and customer focused skills. She is behind the delivery of the “Practice with Confidence” Workshop Series. This role sees her amongst other responsibilities booking venues, taking registrations and sending logistics. Previously she has been employed as an Administrator with a mortgage company in the UK as well as within the retail sector. With a Certificate III in Business Administration, Natalie excels in managing the day to day administrative operations at the AIRC.

Dini Menrath
CCG Human Resources Assistant

Dini works in Provet Human Resources. Previously she worked for Provet for 8 years as the Business Development Manager for Provet IT and a Personal Assistant to the CEO and CFO. Dini has a strong background and commitment to the veterinary industry - both her father and uncle are Veterinarians! She is currently undertaking a Cert IV in HR and has ¾ of a Behavioural Science degree which she hopes to complete one day.
Her main loves in life are her daughter, Maaja, and her extended family.

Stacey Taylor
Administrative Officer

As a vital part of the CCG team, Stacey brings to the company a wealth of knowledge in Customer Relationship Management having worked in administrative roles across Australia. She is behind the delivery of the 5 Star Pet Owner and Mystery Shopper Programs, and works behind the scenes to coordinate in-practice training and CCG’s industry workshops and seminars. This role sees her amongst other responsibilities booking venues, taking registrations and sending logistics. Stacey’s ‘fur family’ consists of her Arabian horse and her two Greyhounds.


 

ANIMAL INDUSTRIES RESOURCE CENTRE TEAM

Tracy Woodland
Enrolments and Internal Training Supervisor

As an AIRC Enrolments Officer, Tracy is responsible for all aspects of the enrolment and traineeship process for every course. On any given day she may be liaising with Government departments, performing student interviews or consulting with Course Coordinators about student matters. Tracy’s greatest thrill is seeing prevocational students succeed and go on to paid employment and re-enrol in formal accredited training as working nurses. Two teenage children keep Tracy busy but in her spare time she enjoys golfing with her husband Jeff, beach volleyball, socialising and cheering her kids on at their sporting endeavours.

Lauren Palmer
Enrolments Officer and AQTF Coordinator

Lauren works closely with Tracy to ensure enrolments are processed efficiently. This is a task that increases month by month due to growing student numbers. She comes from a strong background in retail and training and was an Administration Manager with Woolworths.  Lauren is passionate about gardening and horses - she devotes her spare time to managing her Arabian Horse Stud. Her horses include Sirocco, Sigi, Sophie, Madi, and Spinner.

Ellyn Bonasia
Adminstrative Officer

Ellyn is the cheery voice you often here when you call AIRC/CCG! She works closely with Tracy and Lauren in the administration and enrolments department, as well as support the Training Coordinators and consultants in various tasks.  Ellyn holds a Certificate III in Business and a Diploma in Business with a specialisation in Accounting. 

She has many animals including a bird, a Kelpie X called Mindy and 2 horses and her weekends are filled competing with her horses in dressage, equitation showjumping and combined trainings.

Erika Gladman
Education & Training Supervisor

Erika graduated from the University of Sydney as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1997. She has spent 10 years in small animal practice in Sydney, Brisbane and the UK. Whilst working in a Training Practice the UK, Erika became an assessor for trainee Veterinary Nurses studying through the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Erika joined the Animal Industries Resource Centre in January 2007 and has worked with both the Companion Animal and Veterinary Nursing Portfolios. She keeps her veterinary skills up to date with occasional clinic work in Small Animal practice. Erika has a special interest in our feline friends and shares her home with two loveable moggies - Tonny and Trevor.  Erika lives in Brisbane with her husband and their little girl. She enjoys going to the beach, swimming, reading and consuming good food and wine!!

Kate Rasmussen
Regional Training Coordinator

Kate is a Regional Training Coordinator and works closely with Chantal and Alix to help our students reach their full potential. Kate comes to the AIRC with 8 years experience in the industry in both general practice and emergency nursing. She still maintains her skills by working at an emergency centre on the weekends. Kate’s menagerie of animals fills her spare time. She has two dogs, Tess and Greaser, three cats and three horses. Weekends when Kate is not working are filled competing with her horses in showjumping and dressage.

Shay Kettleton
Regional Training Coordinator

Shay is a training coordinator who works alongside Kate, Alix and Chantal to help students be the best they can and reach their full potential. Shay joins the AIRC with 7 years experience in small animal veterinary nursing. She has achieved her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and is currently undertaking her Certificate IV in Training & Assessing.

Shay owns 3 dogs; Ruby, Tia & Bailey and has a menagerie of horses which she enjoys ridding, on weekend Shay competes in the sport of Campdrafting on most of her horse but mostly her favorite horse Marcus.

Carole Harvey-Stevenson VN. VTS (ECC). Dip. ECC. Cert IV WPA
Technical Advisor and Special Projects

Carole has worked with the AIRC since 2001 as the resident technical advisor. Carole’s role involves developing on-line course materials, presenting workshops, in-practice training and lecturing on a variety of in-depth topics throughout Australia and overseas. Carole has her UK nursing qualification as well as an Australian Diploma in Emergency and Critical Care. Her greatest achievement was obtaining the Veterinary Technician Specialist qualification in Emergency and Critical Care from the United States (the first person in Australia). Carole still remains hands-on in the industry working at the Brisbane Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Centre.

Chantal McKinlay
Regional Training Coordinator

Chantal comes to the AIRC with over eleven years experience in small animal nursing. During that time she has achieved her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing as well as her Veterinary Nurse Technician certificate. Her main interests are in guinea pig care and small animal medicine.

She maintains her skills working on weekends at a small animal surgery. In her spare time Chantal enjoys belly dancing, spending time with her husband, Justin, and playing with her two dogs Theodore (Shitzu) and Genevieve (Wire-haired Dachshund).

Mik O’Leary
Technical & Online Development

Mik graduated from University of Queensland in 1980 and has been in small animal veterinary practice for most of his career. Most of his working career was spent at a major small animal hospital in Hobart though he has practiced in most states of Australia as well as a year working in the UK. He has a keen interest in surgery and particularly enjoys the challenges of orthopaedics. After many years in full-time practice and part-time mentor to veterinary nurses, Mik crossed over to work as a full-time veterinary nurse trainer and part-time veterinarian, an arrangement he loves. Mik now designs and delivers all AIRC/CCG online programs including ProSkills, website management and educational webinars and videos. Mik loves to travel at any opportunity and is an avid photographer.  

Jane Roberts
Training Coordinator | Personal Training Consultant, Queensland

Jane has worked for the AIRC 2½ years as a work place trainer and assessor and student coordinator to diploma and technician students. Jane hopes to pass on her knowledge and experience to new up coming nurses whilst following another path in her veterinary nursing career.  Jane has been in the veterinary industry for 17 years. She qualified as a veterinary nurse in the UK and came to Australia in September 1999 to further her career.

Since arriving in Australia she has completed her Diploma in Surgical Nursing and has extensive experience in Emergency and Critical Care nursing.  Following Jane from the UK came her 2 feline buddies – Freckle and Melanoma, yes his name is spelt correctly. Needless to say there have been some other additions to Jane’s family: Pimple, a stray cat rescued from work; a husband; and 2 gorgeous little boys. Jane likes to exercise, bake and travel when she gets the chance.

Alix Pollock
Regional Training Coordinator

Alix has been a veterinary nurse since 1993. She qualified under the RCVS in the UK in 1998. After travelling the world with her husband, she emigrated to her husband's home town of Brisbane in 2003. Alix has a keen interest in Avian/Exotics nursing and has worked as a nursing manager in a busy Brisbane clinic for the past two years. She still works part time for her husband in a busy Northside clinic to keep up her skills.

In 2004, Alix became a Personal Training Consultant for the AIRC. Her mission is to infect trainee nurses with her enthusiasm to be the best they can be. She splits her spare time between cooking, gardening, craft, comedy and teasing her two boofy cats, Junior and Dafydd. Playing with Dobby the Italian Greyhound and raising her two children. Alix is also a keen aquarium keeper with a six-foot freshwater tropical tank.

Helen Power
Personal Training Consultant, New South Wales

Helen has been veterinary nursing since 1982 and gained first qualification in 1984. She has been continually employed in small animal practice and currently works in a small animal practice with owner/vet/husband on the mid north coast of NSW. Helen has worked for Crampton Consulting Group/ AIRC since 2001. Her main roles are as a Workplace Trainer & Assessor with responsibility for approximately 40 Veterinary Nurse students and presenter for CCG practice training. Helen is the current chair of NSW Industry Advisory Committee and chair of National Industry Advisory Group for Veterinary Nursing.

Great interests include red wine and good food. She has a gorgeous Boxer dog and enjoys travelling around Australia by small plane with her husband.

Michelle Storay
Personal Training Consultant, Victoria

Michelle qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1984 and has worked in practices ranging from a busy small animal hospital to specialist centres (dermatology). She has worked in a dedicated emergency and critical care facility for the last ten years where she is now the Director of Nursing and responsible for the training of veterinary nurses there. Michelle has been with the AIRC since 2001 as a student trainer and workplace assessor. She also presents technical workshops both nationally and internationally.

Liz Callaway
Personal Training Consultant, Tasmania

Liz has worked as a veterinary nurse in a small animal practice for over 9 years. She originally gained a Bachelor of Science (with zoology and microbiology majors) and started work in a vet practice to gain experience in laboratory work and soon discovered a passion for many other aspects of nursing, including critical care, physiotherapy and nurse training. She gained a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2005. Liz began working as a Personal Training Consultant for the AIRC in January 2009 after having 3 years away from work to have two children. She believes that the benefits of nurses gaining further knowledge and qualifications can be of great benefit to not only practices but to nurses themselves, bringing increased job satisfaction.

She has 2 dogs (both adopted from the clinic, both with rare autoimmune diseases) and a cat (also clinic adopted, very healthy) and is married to a vet practice partner.

Jasmine Feeney
Personal Training Consultant, ACT and Southern NSW

Jasmine began working as a junior veterinary nurse in a mixed practice on the mid north coast of NSW gaining a passion for veterinary nursing. In January 2000 she moved to Sydney to begin studying for her Certificate in veterinary nursing and worked in a cat only practice for 1 year. She then had the opportunity to join the referral medicine team at the Sydney University Teaching Hospital at the end of 2000, completing her Certificate IV in veterinary nursing in 2002 and an advanced certificate IV in critical care and emergency nursing in 2003. Jasmine was the head of nursing at Sydney University Teaching Hospital for 5 years and has recently moved to Canberra where she is the nursing manager in a small animal practice. Jasmine is a personal training consultant for the Animal Industries Resource Centre for students in the ACT and Southern NSW areas.

She obtained accreditation through the VNCA in January 2006, a Diploma in Critical Care and Emergency Nursing in 2007 and has a special interest in intensive care nursing and oncology.

Jo Hatcher
Personal Training Consultant, South Australia

Jo started her career as a veterinary nurse in 1999, qualifying as a Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse in 2002. She then went on to study the Diploma of Veterinary Nursing Management and the Veterinary Technician Certificate. She worked as the Nursing Manager of a large four clinic practice in the northern suburbs of Adelaide before stepping out of the management role and back into general nursing as a senior nurse in a practice closer to home. Jo gained accreditation in 2008 and has a special interest in medical nursing, emergency and critical care and is very passionate about helping train veterinary nurses to realize their true potential and to be the best that they can be!

She has two very demanding domestic cats at home and a beautiful Labrador X called Simba. Jo is an executive committee member of The Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia and is a personal training consultant for Animal Industries Resource Centre for students in South Australia
